Fate of Neutral Omens...
All right, guys. Well, it hasn't been a week yet, but only four people voted in the poll - all on the first day - and the vote is unanimously to, "Try to find new mods and give it three months to see if it improves." Apparently no one else gives a damn. But those who do, want the game to continue.
However, there was one write-in suggestion from Gabs that your mods thought held some promise. We've been discussing it amongst ourselves and are now turning to the players for a final decision. The idea was basically to reset the game. Start over, if you will. Players would be given one last thread to wrap up anything they wanted to wrap up and at the end, Adam does his thing. Then the game goes on hiatus for a month or so while everyone submits formal applications for their characters and we try to recruit new players. After that, we'd start the game again (though the stuff we liked from NO can be copy/pasted into the new game - with mod permission - so we don't have to replay what already worked) and see if we can't move faster and feel enthusiastic again in getting to play without having to slog through all the back story that was established before characters disappeared.
Wouldn't it be cool?! Imagine it being fun to play again...
Oh, and our Brian/Azi-mun has volunteered to be the mod for the new game, with John and I sticking around as advisors, so the game really would be starting anew with fresh ideas and ways of doing things.
I, for one, am pretty excited by the prospect, but we'd like to hear from you. Thoughts? Questions? Concerns?

((Actually, are you ever on AIM any more these days? I now have a network it'll work on, if I thought anyone ever used it...?))

I'd like to keep her having brought/bringing Loki books to the hospital wing (or an actual hospital maybe?).
(I guess unless Muri makes a surprise comeback the Uriel backstory should go and I'm considering dropping Odin having been at the manor as well. I'll need a new reason for Loki staying at the manor, but it'll be easier for a possible new Odin to start without the established backstory.)
I'm not on AIM as much as I used to as Sphinx is the only person I ever meet thee anymore. Will be in a few minutes, though, I guess.

Drifting about aimlessly he comes through or near Lower Tadfield and is attracted by the concentration of mythological power. This doesn't have to have anything to do with Adam. (Maybe it was the reason the satanic order built its convent there in the first place.) The place is strengthening, maybe finally gives him enough power to shapeshift again, so he decides to stay for a few days.
War being there might be a reason to extend that stay. She's a reminder of his adventures with Odin and the only person around he knows. (Assuming that we don't manage to recruit an Odin or other AG character.)
What I'm still not sure about is the donor. I thought at first it could be any random unnamed person, but Loki will consider him his blood-brother and donating bone marrow isn't as simple as donating blood. Shadow was supposed to be a suitable donor, because of an unknown blood relationship between Odin and Loki that might have come to light through this ...
Maybe I should leave this question for after we have the full cast list.

I'm still not sure why War's going to be there, actually... it may depend what other horse people there are around, or maybe she's drawn to conflicting mythological powers - ? What do you think? Admittedly I'm fairly free, I never had a huge premise with her that I built my game round, but it might be nice to get more of one this time round...
(Oh, and about the hospital thread - you've got me stumped on the blond maybe-twins who don't like him...? I mean, War can be stumped in game, of course, but given she knows family stuff, I figure she might know them depending who they are!)

Once we have lots of demons and angels there, there should be a good level of conflict to attract her. Or maybe we'll still have a big war going on around us?
(Frey and Freya, though I'm not sure whether we shouldn't just end the thread. Then again it's something to do until the reboot.)

I don't know what else will be going on, but I think the angelic/demonic conflict should suffice... that, and I can use her argument of "they're doing well enough alone, I want a break from travelling"... maybe?
(Afraid I'm still lost - are they family? My mythology is so far below par it's not even funny :( )

They're Vanir - another clan of gods apparently - but I think for our purposes it'll suffice to treat them as part of the Aesir. In earlier posts I've established that Frey often tried to bully Loki in Odin's absence. (That's Loki's perspective. He probably provoked him probably by sleeping with his sister.)
