Hey there--looking for some help

I posted a comment on the Sims manor layout thread but thought I'd put one here that's more detailed.

I'm finally working on getting Blair into this game--having actually joined the communities and put some possibly helpful biographical information in his user info, since most people here don't know The Sentinel (if any know it, really).

I would like to know if there is posted anywhere a detailed description of the manor, inside and/or out as well as Lower Tadfield. Blair's the sort of person to notice stuff. Like what is this doing in a town like LT (if it's out of place) and he'd hear about odd comings and goings. If it's the only place to crash in town then he has to stay there by default, and I'd like to know that too.

Basically, Blair is more anal retentive detail oriented than I am. Any help would be appreciated. I wouldn't have known about the pink chair when you go inside the front door and that's a detail Blair would notice right away--in the rest of that setting, a pink chair?

Thanks. He's actually starting to poke me now and I'm getting my head together, so... preparing.

Oh, and getting Blair a tag, too.

I'm vaguely familiar with the Sentinel from seeing Blair played in another game. The info helped, though.

There is no particularly detailed description of the Manor. The best we have are John's pics and the exterior on NO userinfo's page. As for oddities in the building, there's the pink chair, a bell on the receptionist counter that doesn't seem to be removable, Crowley and Belial's suites are decorated in reds and velvets, while Aziraphale and Gabriel have all whites and silks. Crowley and Aziraphale's shared bathroom is marble. The Them have matching rooms that are very simple and dorm like.

There's a swimming pool and hot tub in the basement along with an exercise room with bikes and equipment, a group room with mirrors on the wall for classes, and a pool table. On the second floor are the sumptuous suites and the hospital. On the third floor is a chapel and the library, along with the simpler rooms. There's a greenhouse out on the grounds and a stable. There are no other buildings for miles. But the airbase isn't too far away. The building may originally have been a plague hospital or private residence, since then it's been a satanist convent and management retreat.

Town is small, although there's at least one pub there, the Black Boy Inn, which would have rooms as well. We don't know much else about it canonically and no one has really explored it apart from the Them who have lived there all their lives.

If you have any other questions, let us know. And Blair now has a tag. ;)

We seem to have established that there's a train station in Tadfield, but Lower Tadfield does not have its own police station or jail.

And there might be a bus going to town from the manor.

And to keep all Manor-related addendums up here, I'll just point out that War has lockers in one of the basement storage rooms, and there may indeed be a Dracula-esque theme down there. (Another basement-eaten character.)

We have generalities because, like the Weasley home, there would be no way to accurately make blueprints. Not enough bedrooms in the photos John has been wonderful to provide.

(You know, my evil side is feeling the Force today. If I were to paint the Manor pink and purple and redecorate some rooms funhouse style... and show off the Manor characters' underwear - still unsure where I procured Ligur's panties - but I am woefully Sims-less atm.)

Btw, googling "snake penisës" at work is such a trip. XD

And gah, I'm on a bilingual computer, mind the irregular accents.

Dare I ask why you were googling snake penises? Does this have to do with the sexual habits of snake demons thread? XD

Rather decent observation, actually. And yes, yes it does.

(Now the question is how the heck I feasibly have Azi talk about the sexual habits of snake demons. And make Crowley wish he hadn't asked for clarification.)

Oops, forgot to tell you about the ground floor. >< That's where the lobby, bar, restaurant, kitchen, and ballroom are located.

There's also the attic, which contains several storerooms and John and Loki's "secret base", which is not to be found. There is, presumably, also an entrance to the roof from the attic.

The basement is also known for eating people. Or at least several people have disappeared there without a trace.

That is freakishly true.

Some rpgs have players who get popcorned, some get mass amnesia, some get ducked...

Ours, the basement eats them.

Convenient, oui?

I don't know if it was meant to be so, but, well, Loki and I used it to put Raziel out of the way, and it's definitely very convenient, so what the heck. XD

It was a natural progression, not anything intended.

Yay for conspiracy theories! Inna basement!
