Oh, yes. Good point. All those more descriptive words aren't intented to replace 'said', just spice things up a little. Too much of it would be rather overwhelming and silly if you're contorting your sentences just to avoid writing, 'he said'. I didn't make that very clear, though, so thanks for pointing that out. :D
