I had a very odd GO day and I had to share it with someone. You all are elected. ;)



So I go to lunch with my brother today and as I'm waiting inside the restaurant for him to show, my eye catches a guy, maybe late twenties, early thirties, eating lunch by himself in a booth near the door. He's reading and I see that it's Good Omens. It's the black hardcover with Azi on the front and I start grinning like a stupid person. I glance around for my brother again and return to the guy and I guess I'm staring a little 'cause he looks up and I smile sweetly at him. He smiles confusedly back and returns to the book.

Then my brother shows up and we take a booth across the restaurant, but I can still see the guy. Just as he's paying his check and getting ready to go, a Queen video starts playing on the TVs. It's 'I Want to Break Free' and has Freddie Mercury in drag rolling around on a pile of boys in spandex. My brother and I are laughing so hard and I look up and the guy's gone.

As we're leaving to go back to work, my brother turns to me, slips his sunglasses on, and says, "Ciao". He hasn't read GO and never says "Ciao".

Weird, weird, GO day.
