A little request to all of you...

Uh, guys? While I'm most delighted to see a Crowley/Hermes meeting at last, and the thread is insteresting, the next time you raise from the dead a thread that's already been finished, do inform me, okay? I don't mind you dragging them back to life, rather I'm quite happy about it, but like you probably understand, I can't check all the finished threads regularly to see whether somebody's decided to continue one of them.

This same applies to the other threads that have been given a new life through the course of the game, like the addition of John and Newt's little adventure to the laptop thread or the continuation of PIIEEE. Also, for any future accounts of the same incident: please inform me about it.

Really. It only takes a minute, if even that, to type a response to the latest open threads list, for example. You're free to play some more on the old threads if you want to, but some people do want to know everything that happens in the game, and if you don't inform anyone, nobody else'll know you've added events.

So, please, if you do revive a finished thread, please tell me about it so I can note it on the next list. This is for the enjoyement of everybody. While you may think that whatever it is you're doing doesn't interest anybody else, there are people (like me) who do want to know about everything that goes on in the game. I'd like to believe I do my own part by more or less regularly informing you all about what threads have been updated so that people can catch up on everything that's happened so far. The least you could do to help me in this is drop me a line every now and then so that I can list all the recent events in the game.

I hope my request doesn't offend anyone, but really, it shouldn't be too much of a bother. I'm not asking you to do this to cause you more trouble with the whole posting thing but to make sure everybody can enjoy the game to the fullest.

I understand your frustration because I used to do this task as well, but a five paragraph post to request something that we had no idea you wanted seems a bit much. You would run a lot less risk of offending someone by just saying something like, "Hey everyone, if you continue writing on a thread that's not on my list anymore, could you let me know? Thanks!" rather than berating and accusing us.

I don't recall anyone saying that that thread was finished anyway, but I will do my best to let you know if something is continued that is no longer on your list.

Not only that (adding to Crowley's comment here) but finished threads are supposed to be marked with a "COMPLETE" (although it's not enforced). And... in some of those cases there have been posts to here saying the player will be away, so open threads would be kept open regardless of postfulness.

We're missing two threads from the current open threads list anyway (I noticed this at lunch, a few hours ago) but I can go and find them out and tell you directly which ones they are, because my memory's failing me. I do this anyway, though I don't always notice.

Could you lj-cut such a long entry please?

I'm so, so sorry. I didn't realise no one had told you! I'm sorry! God, I'm so sorry! I didn't...I'm sorry.

Sounds like just a massive case of miscommunication coupled with bad timing. Let's everybody just try to be a bit clearer about threads being finished, and also remember that it's a game and we're all here to have a good time.

Hope you're feeling better, Muriel!
